Genius Of Love
"The man who says he knows the mind of a woman is a man who knows nothing."
- Robert Evans

In this series, The Genius of Love, the artist addresses some the age old concerns that still come with the beautiful differences between the genders.

"I've had the great fortune of having been raised in a family that was cultivated on both sides by very strong women. Therefore, the men had to be that much stronger in order to be the leaders they were expected to be. As a result, these accomplished and outstanding women not only provided wonderful traditions and memories to drawn upon, but were instrumental in the shaping of who I am today and I love them for it. The Genius of Love....

"If Only"
2005 20 x 26 Mixed Media

It goes without saying that the road to communication between men and women is not always the smoothest of avenues. Often the displacement of blame leads to an erosion of the relationship.

"Romance Without Tears"
2005 20 X 26 Mixed Media

This was done in reaction to an acquaintance
who married the "man of her dreams" to only find
fault with him at every juncture of their relationship.

"The Amorous Interne"
2004 14 X 16 Mixed Media

This was my first attempt at parody of a Romance Novel cover. Okay, The Valkyrie plot this is not, however, be honest with yourself, who would not rather have seen Hitler iced by a beautiful Jewish redheaded undercover agent? I'm just saying....

"This Musk Be Love."
2005 20 X14 Mixed Media

Again, the man who says he knows the mind of a woman, is a man who knows nothing...

"My Husband Lacks Definition."
2006 13 X 24 Mixed Media

A female friend of mine commented on this piece recently " I see her focusing on what's wrong with him instead of how bland and grayscale she's become."

"Veronica Knew"
2009 20 x 26 Mixed Media

Billed as "The Complete Men's Magazine", Argosy was the embodiment of sexist pulp literature during the Golden Age of men's magazines, particularly as frank sexuality became the trend in the sixties and seventies. The stories in Argosy were preposterous and often brutal, especially in it's treatment of women. Thankfully this woman demonstrates why they are still often referred to as our "better half".

"The Evidence of Weakness"
2009 24 x 36 Mixed Media

Recently I had just gotten a run for my money in dealing with the weakness in those who suffer from the narcissistic sociopath personality disorder. This is a real mental condition where the sufferer throws away their moral compass and, in essence, sucks the life out of their victims. With no real goal other than fulfilling the need for superiority visa via diminishing the value of their intended targets, these vampires drain their victim of their precious time, their enviable youth, their sustaining vitality and even their hard earned resources all the while blaming the victim for the insidiously abusive behavior being inflicted upon them.

" So Dreamy"
2009 24 X 24 Mixed Media

It troubles me to no end that differences separate people in love. Although I personally believe that there must be a common agreement when it comes to expressions of faith between a couple, the judgmental-ism towards the Catholic denomination and the accompanying hypocrisy within the Body of Christ is without question, to me, one of the most disgraceful of religious ills.
