“The integration of design and business is now a reality. Because the world of design and business is changing radically, we as design leaders must also be able to change and adapt to the future. In times of change, the future becomes more difficult to anticipate, yet more important than ever to prepare for.
We are clearly in a transitional period—a changing environment that requires cross-discipline work methods, cross-functional teams, and integrated design solutions. Improving our capacity to understand these changes is not only useful, it is an imperative to good business. The presentations at this conference will address and answer key questions: What is the current state of design, and where are we heading? How will we embrace the exploding awareness of design for business on a global level? Is this change here to stay? How can design managers address the issues of responsible design and triple bottom line?
At DMI’s 32nd Annual Design Management Conference, we will take an in-depth look at what the future may hold for design management, leadership, and strategy. With a portfolio of thought-leaders, combined with group exercises, we will seek solutions to the biggest opportunities and obstacles we will face for both today and tomorrow. The goal will be to help design managers become design leaders, and design leaders to become organization leaders of the future.”
