Interactive Exhibition / YDreams

Traveling exhibition was designed to bring an immersive learning experience to several cities in Portugal. A total of ten interactive installations were designed to raise public awareness in environmental issues related with waste management and recycling. By designing interactions that used sensors, augmented reality, touch screens, and RFIDs, made this learning experience more engaging. Augmented reality was used to help visitors simulate the domestic combustion process. Gesturing over sensors would turn the pages of a virtual newspaper and visitors also learned how to recycle different materials in a multi-user interactive game by dragging and dropping objects into the appropriate bins. By combining the physical objects to interactive installations visitors intuitively learned.
