I've always felt that black and white digital photography is kind of a farse. I have a handful of vintage cameras on which I shoot B&W film and then process in my kitchen, which is as much of a challenge as it is an artform. With digital, pulling the saturation to 0 does little more than add borrowed nostalgia. However, sometimes the colors do say too much, and some nostalgia needs to be borrowed.
