Solid Air
Light installation done for Environmental Communications with Professors Rebeca Mendez and Nathan Thompson. This project prompted students pick two words and visually represent their meaning via light installation.
This installation utilizes its materials to embody the connotations of the words solid air. SOLID is etched into a black opaque acrylic, mounted onto solid wood legs and hung by metal wire and nail. The silhouette of the letters AIR are cut out of clear acrylic and utilize the light from the fluro tube to create an outer glow.
