In this assignment we were asked to explore the tenuous dichotomy of truth and fiction in photography. We had to produce two images depicting the same subject. One image had to be “factual” or “real” and the other had to be “fictional” or “constructed”. Both images were shot in a controlled lighting setting in a studio.

This particular diptych is a commentary on preceptions of ethno-cultural identity.
