Column V, or the Fifth Column, is an experimental blog of Steve Parnell.

Among other things, Steve used to be an architect, but is now a third year PhD candidate of architectural historiography at the University of Sheffield school of architecture where he is looking at "the role of the architectural magazine in the writing of architectural history: Architectural Design 1954-1972" (or at least that's the title today).

This blog, then is a depository of unfinished thoughts while he is writing up his thesis.
