Chad Ackley is currently an EVP, Executive Creative Director at Doner Advertising in Detroit, Michigan. His reputation within the business world is one who is a true strategic partner who knows how to deliver creative work that provides successful results.

It didn't take long in his new role at Doner (less then 4 months), before Doner was invited to pitch a large piece of business by a former colleague. This prior partner was familiar with Chad's dedication to his clients and his proven track record for delivering "work that works".

After a fast and furious pitch that included competing agencies DDB, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, and Y&R, Chad and his dedicated team delivered, and JCPenney selected Doner (and Chad's team), to provide their creative moving forward.

Currently, Chad manages the day-to-day creative business on many Doner accounts, including JCPenney, Fiat, Cox Communications, Minute Maid, UPS Store, NGK Sparkplugs and Serta.

Before Doner, Chad served as Group Creative Director at DDB San Francisco. He was brought to San Francisco in 2003 because of his skill as a problem solver, and his ability to do great work on fast paced retail brands. In his 10 years at DDB, Chad had met and succeeded those expectations. Not only has he established trusted relationships with his clients, and helped win new business, but he has won awards while doing it.

Chad truly understands his consumers, and his clients trust him because the work he produces leads to not only awards (like Clorox's very first Effie), but successful business results.

At DDB, Chad helped win the Banquet account, establishing a relationship with ConAgra Foods that would eventually lead to 7 additional brands. Some of those brands include, Hunt’s, Marie Callender's, Reddi-Whip, Pam Cooking Sprays, Ro*tel, Snack Pack pudding and La Choy. Chad also help pitch and win the Chef Boyardee account, adding another ConAgra brand to the DDB stable. He also led the launch of a new 360-degree brand campaign for Marie Callender’s that re-energized the brand and found great success in the marketplace.

During his tenure at DDB, Chad managed the day-to-day business on many Clorox accounts. The Clorox portfolio includes several global brands, including Clorox Bleach, Green Works, Tilex, Hidden Valley Ranch, Formula 409, Liquid Plumr, Pine-Sol and Glad to name a few. He also managed and oversaw the several accounts for ConAgra Foods as well as ArmorAll for the Armored Auto Group.

Prior to DDB, Chad was a VP, Associate Creative Director at the Leo Burnett Company in Chicago, where he began his career. At Leo Burnett, Chad cut his teeth on a wide range of clients that included Kellogg’s, PGA of America, Cheez-it, Healthy Choice, Hallmark, and Dewar’s Scotch Whiskey. As an Associate Creative Director, he spent his time creating award-winning work for global clients like Delta, Rand McNally, Heinz, Nintendo, Ball Park Franks and McDonald's.
