About Cecilia Aragon

Cecilia Aragon is a Fashion Designer with a specialization in Menswear Tailoring. She has earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Fashion Design with a specialization in Menswear. Prior to graduating from the prestigious Academy of Art University, her collection was featured in the Senior Show, and she was one of the pioneers to ignite the Menswear department at AAU. Her love for art & fashion led her to study 15th through 20th Century Art history abroad in Paris, France during the Summer of 2005. Cecilia Aragon is currently an instructor for Academy of Art University in San Francisco teaching Fashion Illustration and Color & Design.

Cecilia has a menswear line called "CA Couture" that has been featured in multiple fashion shows, alongside noteworthy brand names such as Christopher Straub, Hellz Bellz, Adapt, and Acrylick. Her work has been displayed in the front window of Saks Fifth Avenue Men's Store in Downtown San Francisco and has been featured in the likes of major publications such as 944 Magazine, the San Francisco Examiner and Apparel News.

Inspired by Madonna's pioneering go-girl characteristics, Jean-Paul Gaultier's timeless rockstar glamour and the earlier years of Vivienne Westwood, Cecilia has also made a true artform of "punking" women's clothing. She has mastered strategically cutting and slashing clothes to make them her own, making her a Deconstructionist / Stylist in her women's line called "Punky Couture"

As a designer, she is currently a wardrobe stylist for high-fashion photoshoots, music videos and works with several streetwear brands, taking steps to fuse high fashion with streetwear using her evolving fashion taste, yet traditional, classically trained skills.

Cecilia is taking every opportunity to fulfill her dreams of working for a Design House as a Menswear Designer and fate brought her to a Design Company, Andre Soriano. Cecilia Aragon is now the Head Menswear Designer for established San Diego Fashion Designer, Andre Soriano. They launched their first collaborative collection at Fashion Week San Diego & also showed at Style Fashion Week LA in 2013.

Cecilia Aragon is one of 12 competing designers of Rihanna & Style Network’s new fashion competition series “Styled to Rock” where she met Andre Soriano.

While Aragon has had local success in her hometown of San Francisco Bay Area, Cecilia is hoping to achieve success on a national level. Nowadays, she is working solely on her own collection and planning to move to Los Angeles to make her mark in Southern California styling her Hollywood clients.
