Educated in "industrial design", my life experiences & work have been a reflection of my love for creation, nature & gravity. Paddlesurfing has been my passion since there were virtually no boards available... (at which time I built my first prototype paddle). In the 80's, I was heavily involved in the blossoming sport of windsurfing, enjoying sponsorship/product R & D with Northwave Sails, Windance sailboards, DaKine accessories, O'neill wetsuits, Ampro masts, Windsure hardware. My design career has been highlighted through recognition of innovation & excellence as reflected by winning several international design competitions. This led to very interesting, but separate, collaboration work with two of the most highly recognized & respected living designers on the planet: Philippe Starck & Frank Gehry. Since the early 90's, I have been using hemp as a integral component to my design work... showcasing the extreme strength virtues of this most useful, organically grown plant. Most recently, I have joined Roderick Romero & Treehouse Workshop creating & building sustainable treehouses. Currently, I recently created a series of "green" surf racks, board stands & furniture all designed & built with reclaimed, remilled lumber & recycled wool felt. I reside & work in Malibu, California with my amazing wife & two inspirational, gravity defying children!
