2010 REEL
Cameron Linderman was raised on military bases overseas in Cuba, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Germany, and the United Kingdon. His first memories were of drawing mailmen under the televised instruction of Bob Ross. By his architect father, John Linderman, and his high school Art teacher, Paul Platis, they inspired him to pursue visual art as a craft. During those formative years he spent most of his time skateboarding to punk and jungle in the UK. He studied graphic design at college where he met Cassidy Gearhart and Andre Stringer who introduced him to the medium of motion graphics. The kinetic energy of motion graphics, for him, made sense as a medium of expressing the ideas which influenced his experiences growing up in skateboarding, punk rock, and jungle techno. He took on a series of internships in DC and NYC at BET, MTV, and FDG (now named Interspectacular). Without the mentorship of his friends Fabian Tejada and Michael Uman he wouldn’t be where he is today.
