Avril is an artist and illustrator from Dublin who has a particular soft spot for combining different elements like collage, textures and patterns together. She likes her pieces to have a sense of humor or feeling that people can relate to. Besides illustration, she also likes drinking tea, music, reading, museums and being inspired. She takes inspiration from the people around her, the places she visits and the things that interests her such as books, music, old records, vintage postcards, nature and anything else wonderful you can think of.

She has worked for magazines such as Amelia's magazine, Flamingo magazine, Who's Jack, Ballad Of, Burst magazine, New Empress, Peculiar Bliss and online illustration blog Illustration Rally.

She has been published in Fashion Africa, a book on ethical fashion and textiles in Africa and in Art Box, an illustration book in Japan. She was also commissioned to design posters for Oxfams' Oxjam charity events.
