I apologize for the lack of updates.
News is that this project is now part
of a larger platform called Projekt.

About a year ago I started to do some drawings on a model RC airplane. As autumn is
once again coming up I've started to prepare for some dark late hours of model building.
The plane will be 600x600 in size and between 500 and 1000 grams in weight.
Got inspired by Marcio Kogan's Paraty House, Rudolf Schindler, and similar
architecture and felt like creating something myself in similar aesthetics but in
a more reasonable size and material (and cost).
—
Some process photos. Most of the body is finished now just waiting on all the internal
items. Got some more work to do on the wing as well as rudder, elevator and ailerons.
Exciting news is that the plane weight (just the wooden body) is only 170 grams!
All electrical calculations was based on a weight of 500 so theoretically the plane
should definitely be able to fly when finished! They say about 50 watts per pound
so I'm well over that. Here's a great link if you want to know how to calculate
your plane's numbers.
The wing will be attached to the body by 4 screws covered by 4 silver metal
tubes that will be removable. (Have a closer look at how it will work in the 3d
renders further down this page)
Bought a 9/6 propeller, some hinges and wire attachments for
rudder and elevator, wire protection tube and some screws to hold the wing.
Also started rebuilding the whole bottom part as further calculations proved
the previous version to be too heavy.
Just got some help from a friend, Daniel Balzer, to build
a very rough model of the plane.
You can click on the 'Previous' and 'Next image' buttons to see more
I just bought some balsa wood, wires and wire tubes, could be a good start.
I also looked at some brushless outrunners as well as a few servo systems
and radio transmitters. Updates to come.
