Graphic design plays a larger role in society than most think. It shapes culture, it creates artifact, and–most importantly–the role of graphic design is to inform the viewers and make them aware of their environment. Therefore, I believe that graphic designers should harness the power of their craft and create solutions that are thought-provoking and progressive. They should be progressive in a way that helps society move in a forward direction, rather than the repetitive and persuasive rhetoric that graphic design is typecast with.
