Bopomofo is a fictional pop-up store where all things sold are made in Taiwan. The inventory is a wide range of objects, foods, and goods from the quotidien to the costly.

Its goal is to mediate between two cultures, both familiar and unfamiliar. While the items being sold were manufactured in Taiwan, they exist in our daily lives and in popular culture.

The conflation of what is American and what is Taiwanese will hopefully reveal the fluidity of contemporary culture and ask surprising questions about material consumptions.
