Nido is a lamp I made for a lighting project. It is not thought to be produced industrially, but was rather consists in design a lamp with our hands and with the handcrafted character of a single object.
I wanted to experiment with the light through the wood, the warmth and transparency, as well as the possibilities of the material: the balance, harmony, lightness, tension and contention, flexibility and stiffness, build a structure-sculpture, that establish a dialogue with space, light and air.
To make it I used sewing thread, three lead balls that are used for fishing and strips of beechwood veneer.
