Echo 1
The film Echo gets its name from the process from which it was made. It was made by creatinga frame by frame animation of paintings and drawings on the same 64 sheets of paper. After completing the 64th drawing, the artist continued the animation on sheet 1, thus one can see the process by which the film was made.
The project is also an echo in terms of its sources for inspiration. Initially, the artist was inspired to make a painting based on a piece of music. She then gave the painting to a musician to interpret it in the form of a song. Upon receiving the music, she created an animation that responds to the music. The result is this film, Echo.
Score composed by James Ketchum, Gareth Ewing and Leon Hu.
