From visual graphs to Scantron tests to learning about which neighborhood you should relocate to, it's undeniable that data is everywhere in our lives day-in and day-out. Appropriately, writer and radio producer Starlee Kine offers the perspective that suggests that self-help information is so prevalent and abundant, it overwhelms and creates an inability to actually solve anyone’s problems. Or, as better said in Kine's own words: "The more self help I am surrounded with, the less it seems to work." The aim of this illustration was to embody self-help as an entity that unfortunately buries and drowns rather than alleviates or elevates.
