Adriana Roos is a South African born artist with a Honours degree in Journalism and Languages, a certificate in photography and has studied photography in different workshops with Mexican artists like Yvonne Venegas, Javier Ramirez Limon, Francisco Mata Rosas and Spanish photographer Joan Fontcuberta.

She has won various awards, including the winner of the Standard Bank Campus Awards for Photography at the North West University for two consecutive years (2003, 2004), and has participated in a Residency for 10 Emerging Photographers at AAVI, in Mexico City (2010).

She works as a documentary and contemporary artist and have exhibited in various group shows in South Africa and Mexico.

She now lives and works in Cape Town, South Africa.
