John has 12 years experience working in live action, animation and visual effects. He started freelancing at Passion Pictures in 2001 on pioneering music videos for the likes of Coldplay and Radiohead, both winning MTV Awards.

He co-directed a film for Greenpeace, which won both First Prize and Special Jury Prize at the Young Advertising Awards in Cannes.

In 2005 John wrote & direct 'Hibernation' (15 mins) for Sound Films & Working Title which went on to win over 20 international awards and has screened in over a thousand cinemas worldwide.

While continuing to freelance at Passion Pictures, John was approached by 104 Films to create a film for Channel 4 on disability theme. 'Paraphernalia' went on to win ‘Best Drama’ at the biggest short film festival in the world (L.A. Short film festival).

Last year John directed ‘Magic’ a film for Channel 4’s ‘Coming Up’ series staring Jane Horrocks and has recently completed a feature script with Sound Films entitled 'Here on Earth' the story of one man's mission to the moon and now has a host of other exciting projects he’s developing.
