The-Em!
Em was born in Reggio Emilia, Italy, in 1982 and he is writing this Bio. So it's a Self-Bio. I guess.
Em studied graphic design in Parma, Italy, at the Toschi Art Institute. In his early 20's, he created new drawing styles while collaborating with fashion houses, forecasting trends for the upcoming season collections. During this time, Em developed the unique style he is known for today. Em has been featured in magazines like Kill Screen, Rolling Stone, Grab, FEFE' and Vice.
Four years ago Em began a new project, Performances Privèes. Following a month of video-conferences and written material, a private client's past, dreams, and phobias are translated onto paper with ink. The portrait study is then burnt in a private ceremony between artist and client.
Recent Em exhibitions were held in Basel, NYC, Berlin, Milan, Paris and Las Vegas.
Chapters of Em first novel are now being printed into an international publication. While collaborating with a neuroscience magazine, fashion houses and bands, Em also updates his weekly blog for the ilpost.it, the best cultural web magazine in Italy.
