Degree conferred at graduation in March 2010, undertaken from February 2005-June 2009. I was awarded two competitive salary scholarships to undertake a PhD from the Australian government and a privately funded one awarded to the highest-ranking student in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at The University of Western Australia. I also won numerous awards based on my research from various institutions such as King’s College in London and The University of Western Australia.

Degree conferred at graduation in March 2005, undertaken February 2001-December 2004. I was awarded my Bachelor of Arts and Honours Degree with the highest overall mark within the Faculty of Arts, and hence was awarded two PhD scholarships to continue my studies. I was also awarded numerous prizes throughout my undergraduate degree by The University of Western Australia for my high-achieving performance.
I have teaching experience at a university level, undertaken since 2006 in areas such as Victorian Studies, Cultural Studies, Romanticism and the Gothic tradition, Gender and Feminist Studies, Popular Culture and Literature, and Screen and Film Studies. Duties include small group teaching in weekly tutorials, lecturing for large groups, curriculum development, administrative duties for undergraduate courses, online teaching, and marking of essays and exams. My formal peer and student feedback has always been consistently high.
In 2006, I was one of 24 candidates accepted into The University of Western Australia’s Teaching Internship. This was a year-long programme of professional development in areas such as teaching, online learning, communication and writing skills. The internship included training workshops led by internship candidates, formal peer-reviews, and health, safety and anti-discrimination seminars. I have also given guest lectures and conference papers at The University of Western Australia, University of Oxford (Balliol College) and the University of Exeter.
