DIY DNA
DIY DNA is a design master thesis, developed autumn 2010 at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design. It is a cultural investigation of a future projection where synthetic biology is an emerging technology. Through tendencies in society and technology seen today different scenarios are built, exploring several implications of a public adopting living creatures as products and services. Each scenario discuss matters on different levels; the personal, the social, and the environmental, including topics on human responsibility, consumer- product relationship, and security and regulations.
